Their mission is to help local shelters and rescues so that they have the resources to continue to care for and rescue animals from bad situations\, high kill shelters or otherwise would suffer without their help. You can learn more about this amazing charity by visiting their Facebook page or pawsitiveeffects.org. \nDoors will open to the public at 6pm. Please no early birds the vendors are still setting up. The auction will start at 7pm.\nSaunders Second Chances will be serving ham and cheese sliders\, potato salad\, beverage\, and dessert for $6. This will benefit their spay and neuter program. DESCRIPTION:The Art of Animals ~ Sketch your Pet \nAnimals are one of the hardest things to draw\, but they don’t have to be. Artist Mary Lou Herald set out to learn how to draw these precious pets and along the way found a practical approach to not just drawing dogs and cats\, but all kinds of mammals. Join her as she passes on her skills and years of accumulating drawing know-how to you. \nIn this class Herald deconstructs complex animal anatomy and mechanics into basic\, understandable components\, making drawing your pet your new passion as a beginning art student. The lesson is broken down into these sections: \nThe Basic Structure of a Mammal \nThe 4 Main Sections of the Body \nDrawing Heads \nDrawing Fore Limbs \nDrawing Back Limbs \nDrawing the Body \nMs. Herald received her art degree from Seton Hill College and previously taught art at Alex Fletcher Memorial Art Center\, where she specialized in perspective drawing and pen and ink courses. Herald’s pen and ink drawings have graced exhibits from Pennsylvania to Florida.
