Art For The Masses – ML Herald Drawing Class

Place: Visual Arts Center, HAL [teal building on Lake Jackson, ample parking in the lot]

• #2 lead, mechanical pencil [Paper-mate Sharp Writer is best]
• Good paper drawing pad or book – [9 x 12, 12 x 14; no newsprint paper]
• Plastic white eraser [Mars brand]
• Straight edge ruler

Art for the Masses
HAL’s classes are designed to fit the needs and interests, not only of practiced artists in
many genre, but also to appeal to the masses – from moms/dads/grandparents and
their toddlers, homeschool students, after-schoolers, and teens to adults who want to
begin their foray into the world of art. HAL offers something for everyone. Classes are
built for novice to professional and allow you to test your interests, improve your skills,
and build community with others while appreciating the Arts.

Due to the fact that all ages are invited to participate in these classes, alcoholic
beverages will NOT be provided by the Art League. However, we will have many snacks
and other light refreshments available for all classes taught at HAL and are included in
the class fee. Where noted materials will be provided by students, but will note
suggestions our artist/teachers have made for your convenience and aide in practicing
what you’ve learned.
