Betty Ford Smith will be promoting the work and accomplishments of an African American quilter, dressmaker, gardener, cook, wife, mother, and nanny – Mrs. Arlene Dennis, AKA Miss Sue – and to preserve the tradition, culture, and the history of quilting which she taught her.
