Fall Festivals, Pumpkin Patches & More

Another glorious weekend! It makes me sick! Just kidding, we’re quite excited! Weekends around holidays are even more action-packed than usual!

Ready to race? Friday, October 18 at 4:30pm, Sun ‘n Lake is hosting their Trick-or-Trot 5k! This year the costume theme is Zombie Apocalypse! You’re welcome to walk, run, skip, whatever you’d like! Costumes, especially those with the theme, are highly encouraged!

Time to rock! J3 Vocal Band will be kicking off the monthly Downtown Sounds! Every third Friday of the month at 6pm, there will be a concert on The Circle. This event will be free to attend so bring the whole family! Bring a blanket to sit on, grab some food from any of our amazing restaurants downtown, and have a picnic while listening to some of the best music Highlands County has to offer!

Saturday is definitely a day to celebrate Fall with the whole family!

Come down to the Lakeshore Mall Family Fall Festival from 9am-4pm Saturday and pick the best pumpkin in the air conditioning! All the proceeds from this event will be going to the Children’s Museum of the Highlands.

Finish the night off with a Fall Festival at the Highlands County YMCA! From 4-8pm on Saturday, come by to enjoy carnival games, a costume contest, bounce houses, and so much more!

Start your Sunday at Stuart Park in Lake Placid, from 9am-2pm, come on down for the Lake Placid Clovers 4H Club 10th Annual Pumpkin Patch! There will be a variety of food and desserts for sale, games, face painting, and of course, pick the perfect pumpkin to take home for carving!

We hope to see you out and about at one (or all!) of these wonderful events! Remember to share your pictures with us using #SRundown!
