Handmade & Homemade

By Tracy McCoy, Jan 21, 2018

There is no better way to start off the week than to go SHOPPING!

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it’s that time to pick up something pretty in pink or a cool nicknack to get in the spirit. Or perhaps, you may want to freshen up your look. We’ve got you covered. Our must-try shop is Southern Drawl Boutique and Salon.

Handmade and Homemade, Southern Drawl Boutique and Salon is a family owned and operated boutique that has you covered from head to toe. You can get a fantastic hairdo, pick up a cute blouse, and accessorize. If that’s not enough, pick up a one of a kind birthday or housewarming gift.

From the moment you walk in the door, you’re greeted with good ole’ Southern hospitality. Dolores, a.k.a. “Mama,” is a breath of fresh air when you walk into the shop. She greets you with such a warm welcome that you will feel right at home. It is so fitting that owner, Brittni Smith’s motto is “Service with a splash of small-town hospitality & a dash of big city flair.” Brittni and her mama, Dolores are so much fun to stop by and chat with.

Brittni is a native to the area and grew up in Avon Park. Her father’s job took her and her mama all over while she was growing up. She relocated to Mississippi for some time and opened up Southern Drawl. She moved back to Sebring two years ago and relocated her unique shop back home.

When you walk into the Boutique, you can expect to find several one of a kind finds. You’ll find beautiful raglans to unique handmade jewelry and furniture that Britti and her father, Melvin restore.

Southern Drawl maintains a great variety and has new arrivals daily. Follow them on Facebook or Instagram–they post new items daily and you can place orders right there. They do take online orders and will ship.

In addition to the Boutique, they also have a full-service Salon. Hair, makeup, special events, you name it! They book up fast; appointments are highly recommended.

Make sure to check out their Boutique at 2924 US 27 N Sebring (right next to Sweet Frogs) and say hi to Brittni and Mama!
